TS84 :: Wedding at Governors Camp, Masai Mara
This area of 1,800 sq km national reserve spreads southwest of Nairobi, along the Tanzanian border and the Serengeti National Park.
The Governors' family of camps provides luxury & comfort while retaining the authentic flavor of safari camping. This was the first tented camp to be established in the Mara. Tall old trees, clipped green lawns, & the quiet river give everything a feeling of tranquility.
All tents have their own private river frontage, with four-poster beds, veranda, & electricity, modern ensuite facilities with hot & cold running water. The main building with lounge, bar & dining room is cantilevered over the river.
Each tent is sited on a cement foundation with a private bathroom with hot showers, flush toilets, washbasins and even bidets. The high quality of food & service seem amazing in this rough, bush setting miles from civilization. The green tents are sited along the high banks of the looping Mara River.
